DuwendeThe Duwendes are short creatures with high pitched voices and are protective of their domiciles.
They are little men with short limbs but with large hands and feet. Their fingers are long and bony with long and hard nails. Their face is round with high cheeks with a brownish, rough skin. They have large sharp eyes with large mouth and teeth. They possess a high pitched voice. The Duwendes live in an anthill or a cave and punish children who are playing in his house without asking permission. People must say “tabitabipo” whenever they pass by to prevent unintentionally stepping on them. They are also friendly beings and even help their human friends become lucky and rich. |
