VISION
|
Myth Museum is a website that contains the most comprehensive list of Philippine mythical creatures on the web. The site acts as a virtual museum that aims to collect and preserve information surrounding Filipino mythology and its creatures and at the same time educate the people about the rich cultural and literary heritage of the Philippines as seen by the abundance of creatures and stories surrounding them which were first told centuries ago. By reintroducing them to the present generation, the chances of these treasures surviving in the future becomes increased.

About The LogoThe logo of the Myth Museum is a reference to different museums of natural history where a skeleton or a fossil of a dinosaur is shown as its centerpiece. In the case of the Myth Museum's logo, a skeleton of a Tikbalang is used. The velvet ropes represent the colors found on the national flag of the Philippines, where the creatures featured here originated from. The two symbols found on the right of the skeleton is an alibata script that means "mito", a Filipino word for myth.
